Apple Cinnamon Pork Chops Recipe:

Ingredients

Scaled to 1 serving

  • 1/4 lb Pork sirloin (chops or roasts) (113 g)

  • 1/4 dash Salt (0.1 g)
    (To taste)

  • 1/4 dash Pepper (0 g)
    (To taste)

  • 3/4 tbsp Butter (11 g)
    (Divided)

  • 1/2 medium Apples (91 g)
    (Cored and thinly sliced)

  • 1/4 large Onions (38 g)
    (Halved and thinly sliced)

  • 1/2 tbsp Brown sugar (4.5 g)
    (Packed)

  • 5/8 tsp Rosemary (0.4 g)
    (Finely-chopped)

  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon (1.3 g)

  • 0.031 tsp Cayenne pepper (0.1 g)

  • 2 2/3 tbsp Apple juice (41 g)

  • 1/16 cup, fluid Heavy whipping cream (20 g)

Directions

Directions are for original recipe of 4 servings

  1. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides.

  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt two-thirds of the butter. Add the pork chops and cook until browned, about 3 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate and let rest for 3 minutes.

  3. Return the skillet to medium-high heat and melt the remaining butter. Add the apples and onion, cooking until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in the brown sugar, rosemary, cinnamon, cayenne, apple juice, and cream.

  4. Nestle the pork chops into the liquid and cook until the internal temperature reaches 145°F for medium rare or 160°F for medium, about 3 to 4 minutes per side.

  5. Serve pork chops with the apple mixture on top.
