Hello Healthy Meal Preppers!

Fish Florentine is a simple yet elegant dish that brings together tender white fish and a creamy spinach sauce for a comforting, flavorful meal. Lightly seasoned fillets are pan-seared to golden perfection, then nestled in a rich, garlicky spinach cream that feels indulgent without being heavy. It’s a timeless combination that highlights fresh ingredients and balanced textures.

What makes this dish shine is how effortlessly it comes together—just one pan and a handful of ingredients deliver something that tastes like it came from a restaurant. Serve it with rice, pasta, or crusty bread for a wholesome, satisfying dinner.


Fish Florentine Recipe:

Ingredients

Scaled to 1 servings

  • 5 oz Whitefish (142 g)

  • 3/4 tsp Avocado oil (3.5 g)

  • 3/4 tsp Butter (3.5 g)

  • 1/4 cup, chopped Red bell pepper (37 g)

  • 1/2 cloves, minced Garlic (1.5 g)

  • 1/4 package Spinach (71 g)

  • 1/2 oz Cream cheese (14 g)

  • 1 tbsp Half and half cream (15 g)

  • 3/4 tbsp Parmesan cheese (3.8 g)

  • 1/4 dash Salt (0.1 g)
    (To taste)

  • 1/4 dash Pepper (0 g)
    (To taste)

Directions

Directions are for original recipe of 4 servings

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add half of the avocado oil and butter. Cook the red bell pepper and garlic for about 4 minutes until softened.

  2. Add the spinach, season with salt and pepper, and stir until the spinach wilts.

  3. Mix in the cream cheese, half & half, and Parmesan cheese until the cream cheese is melted and the mixture is creamy.

  4. In a separate skillet over medium-high heat, add the remaining oil and butter.

  5. Season the fish with salt and pepper on both sides, then place in the hot skillet.

  6. Cook the fish for 6 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 5 minutes until it reaches 145°F and is browned.

  7. Serve by placing the spinach mixture on each plate and topping with a piece of fish.
